This study will add to existing knowledge about the connection between trance music and ballad music. It offers insights into the compositional approach of world-renowned electronic band Above & Beyond. The piece 'Satellite' by Above &Beyond has sold millions of copies worldwide due to its unique combination of trance and ballad style of composition and performance. Basically, this research focuses on the transformation of a trance style music to a ballad style music based on the research objectives and questions. The data analysis will be collected from the compositional score analysis and audio visual analysis. Therefore, research into this aspect is needed and fills a gap in knowledge.
