总结:Zakat is one of the pillars of Islam that must be implemented by all Muslims. Zakat means to purify our property by giving to eight groups of asnaf who meet the conditions of eligibility to receive zakat. Those who receive zakat also have eight groups consisting of fakir, miskin, amil, muallaf, al-riqab, al-gharimin, fisabilillah and ibnu sabil. Each state has its own management and distribution of zakat, but there are still people who still do not understand the true meaning of each group. There are those who think that single mothers or those with disabilities will get zakat but in the management of this zakat will also be seen hadd kifayah whether they are eligible to receive zakat or not. Therefore, in this research paper is conducted to find out how the distribution of zakat under the Malacca Islamic Religious Council manages and distributes zakat to the poor and needy asnaf in Malacca. Finally, the writing of this study will answer the objectives and questions by interviewing five respondents consisting of zakat officers and asnaf.
