Green building or sustainable is the same approach in construction industry. Due to a lot of issues global worming in the world, the green board was implementing this concept to be used in construction industry to our earth. Green Building Index (GBI) was jointly founded and developed by Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) and the Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (ACEM) in 2009. GBI (M) is a profession driven initiative to lead the property industry towards becoming more environment-friendly. This study is to find out the awareness on sustainable building concept was implement since 2009 among the developer. The awareness level of can be measure by this six element which is the important, cost, time to implement, impact, benefit, knowledge of sustainable building design. This study is also to determine the awareness and the method to improve the awareness on sustainability concept. There are many developers in Malaysia but, in this study only focus developer in Selangor area. The total of respondent sample taken is about 21 developer company include 2 government developer likes PKNS and PNSB. The research stages which content of five stages in accomplishing the research. Identification issues, data collection, literature review, analysis of data, conclusion and recommendation. The method to collect the finding is by questionnaire survey was distribute to developer company and will be analyze by using Microsoft Excel. After the whole study on this research the recommendation will make by MGBC and Government in improve the awareness of developer on sustainability concept.
