With my impressive academic credentials, I was able to pass the interview for industrial training at the company. Ael Engineering Sdn Bhd is a five-star rated company founded in 2014 that provides metal stamping and operates in the Metal working Machinery Manufacturing sector. The finance department employees 12 people. I conducted a SWOT analysis on this company for this report, as well as a regression analysis on the firm-specific determinants of capital structure in manufacturing sectors. In this study, the dependent variable is leverage, and the independent variables are profitability, liquidity, firm size, and growth. According to the findings, only profitability is statistically significant to manufacturing companies' leverage, while liquidity. firm size, and growth are not. Concurrently, firm size and growth have a positive relationship with leverage, whereas profitability and liquidity have a negative relationship with leverage. Based on the findings and previous research, the company and future research should consider several recommendations. Some recommendations to deal with the limitations are provided here to help future researchers conduct better research on this similar topic. My research does not include all listed manufacturing companies because of missing data for some of them, but only 38, and the time frame is from 2013 to 2023. Furthermore, future research should consider additional independent variables relevant to the study to determine their effect on firm leverage.
